Things to Note:
- WEAR YOUR HELMET & GLOVES! Training with gloves on is vital, we want to practice how we play, don’t take any shortcuts!
- Make sure you have proper form as shown in the demo video
- Make sure your feet are in the proper position, shoulders closed off, and stepping towards your target.
- Try to aim for the same spot on the wall/bounce back every rep. Train your pass accuracy as well as your ability to receive the pass. The ball should arrive on the same line it was thrown on.
- Try to get the ball in and out of your stick as fast as possible. Erase any hitches, stick twirls, or extra cradles. Have soft hands! The ball should fall nicely into your pocket, don’t snap at the ball when catching it.
We encourage all players to complete this routine 3-4 times per week, but don’t limit yourself to just that! This routine should take anywhere from 15-30 minutes to complete. The routine consists of 500 reps total. Complete all reps – drops do not count.
